Women’s Basketball Collects 66-48 Road Victory at Evansville Friday Night

The Flames improve to 3-3 in Missouri Valley Conference play.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – A slow first quarter start couldn't stop the UIC women's basketball team (8-9, 3-3 MVC) for earning a hard-fought 66-48 Missouri Valley Conference victory against Evansville (4-13, 2-4 MVC) at Meeks Family Fieldhouse Friday night.

Senior Jessica Carrothers led all scorers with 25 points, five assists and two rebounds. Redshirt sophomore Julia Coleman secured a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Graduate student Sara Zabrecky and junior Grace Harris each scored six points, sinking four triples a piece.
