CHICAGO (Jan. 22, 2026) – The Missouri Valley Conference announced Thursday that the UIC men's basketball home game against Belmont on Friday, Feb. 6, has been selected for a linear television broadcast on ESPNU. The game time has been moved one hour to 8 p.m. (CT) and will air nationwide from Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago.
This will mark the Flames' first appearance on an ESPN linear network since March 10, 2020, when UIC faced Northern Kentucky on ESPN in the Horizon League Tournament championship game in Indianapolis. It will also be the Flames' first home game to be televised nationally on an ESPN linear network since Jan. 10, 2020, when ESPN2 carried a regular-season matchup with NKU at Credit Union 1 Arena.
Winners of five in a row, UIC (10-10, 5-4 MVC) is back in action at 7 p.m. (CT) Saturday when it travels to Peoria, Ill., for an MVC matchup at Bradley. That game will be broadcast live from Carver Arena on ESPN+. The Flames then return home next Tuesday (Jan. 27) to take on Indiana State at 7 p.m. (CT) on what will be Pride Night at Credit Union 1 Arena.
