CHICAGO — UIC golf head coach Angela Rayhill announced the signing of Indiana standout Josephine Zangrilli (Munster, Ind.) to a National Letter of Intent on Thursday. Zangrilli will join the Flames beginning with the 2026–27 season as part of UIC's incoming signing class.
Ranked among the Top 20 recruits in Indiana for the Class of 2026, Zangrilli brings an impressive and well-rounded competitive résumé to Chicago. She captured medalist honors at the Buffy & Alice Mayerstein Age Group Championship and recorded two Top 3 finishes on the MAJGT circuit.
On the Indiana PGA junior circuit, Zangrilli secured two tournament victories, highlighted by her Junior Masters Championship title. She also demonstrated consistent postseason success during her high school career, finishing as a sectional runner-up twice.
"We are excited to bring Josephine on board next season," commented Rayhill. "Her talent and work ethic will make an immediate impact to this team."
Zangrilli joins fellow Indiana signees Ava South and Rowan Pies, rounding out a talented 2026–27 recruiting class as the Flames continue to build momentum within the Missouri Valley Conference.
