GAME ONE
Both teams found momentum early, scoring multiple runs, but it would be Lamar who lead at the end of the first by a score of 3-2. Following a scoreless second inning, action picked back up in the third when both teams scored three runs respectively. Siena Stickney got the Flames going with a RBI double to right center field, scoring Sam Tourtillott and moving Samantha White to third. With two outs, Grace Taylor brought home White and Stickney with a two-RBI single to left field. At the end of the third inning, the Flames remained behind by one with the scoreboard reading 5-4. Momentum then swung in favor of the Cardinals, who picked up one run in the fourth before having a seven run fifth inning, taking a 14-5 lead over the Flames.
