Baseball Continues Texas Roadtrip Against UTSA Tuesday Afternoon
First Pitch at Roadrunner Field is slated for 4 p.m. (CT).
 
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The UIC baseball team (1-2, 0-0 MVC) remain in San Antonio to continue their Texas swing, facing UTSA (3-0, 0-0 AAC) in a one-game match-up scheduled for 4 p.m. (CT) Tuesday afternoon. The game will be streamed on ESPN+, and will have live stats available at UICFlames.com.

SCOUTING UTSA

• This will be the first ever matchup between the Flames and the Roadrunners.
• UTSA is coming off the best season in program history, finishing 47-15 in 2025 before falling to No. 15 UCLA in the NCAA Super Regional.
• The Roadrunners finished 23-4 in the American Athletic Conference, claiming the 2025 regular season title and the no. 1 seed in the AAC Conference tournament.
• UTSA is led by Pat Hallmark, who is in his seventh season as head baseball coach. He was named 2025 American Baseball Coaches' Association and ATEC Central Region Coach of the Year.

 
LAST SERIES - INCARNATE WORD

• The Flames dropped the first two games against Incarnate, but fired back in Game 3 with a 9-2 victory to mark their first win on a young campaign.
• Junior Jake Busson hit the team's first homer on the year with a two-run blast in the 2nd inning of Game 3. He finished the game going 2-4 with three RBI.
• Senior Zach Millsap notched his first save of his campaign during the series finale, where he came in late to help the Flames to a win. He pitched three innings, striking out three and allowing only one hit.
• Over the course of the series, first baseman Will Smoot led the team with a .417 batting average, snagging five hits and four RBI across 12 at bats.
