CLEVELAND - The UIC men's tennis team improved to 5-2 on the season after they defeated Cleveland State on Thursday afternoon by a score of 4-3. The Flames started strong winning the doubles point behind a clutch victory at No. 3 doubles by Emil Dapcevic and Mihailo Savic who won 7-6.
UIC then took three of six singles matches. Artem Alekseychuk won at No. 1, Simon Knezevic won at No.3, before Freshman Henrique Sa clinched the match with a victory at No. 6.
The Flames are back in action on Saturday in Indianapolis against IU Indy, competition is set to begin at IU Tennis Center at 11:00 AM.
