DES MOINES, IOWA – The UIC women's basketball team's (12-14, 7-8 MVC) four-game Missouri Valley Conference road trip is set to finish up Sunday afternoon, when they face off against Drake (8-17, 7-8 MVC) at the Knapp Center for a 2 p.m. (CT) tip-off.

SCOUTING DRAKE
- This will be the 14th match-up between the Flames and the Bulldogs. Drake currently maintains a 11-2 overall record with UIC aiming to get their first win since Feb. 2023.
- In their last meeting, the Flames fell short to the Bulldogs at home, 78-62. Senior Jessica Carrothers led UIC in scoring with 26 points, four rebounds and a pair of assists.
- The Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back wins in conference, most recently in a 79-68 victory over Valparaiso (0-27, 0-16 MVC) Friday night. Senior Abbie Aalsma led the way for Drake with 19 points, four three-pointers and four rebounds in the win.
- Sophomore Maggie Taylor is one of the top rebounders in the entire MVC, leading the Bulldogs with 173 total rebounds this season, averaging 6.9 rebounds per game this season.
LAST GAME RECAP – AT INDIANA STATE
- Behind a balanced offensive attack, the Flames overwhelmed Indiana State (8-18, 4-12 MVC) on the road Thursday night with a 95-80 victory.
- Carrothers led all scorers with 24 points, six assists and three rebounds. The guard has collected 11 20-plus scoring performances across the season, including 20 points in the past four consecutive games.
- Sophomore TuTu Clayton scored 20 points, dished out four assists and had three rebounds. 12 of her 20 points came in the first quarter when Clayton sank four three-pointers.
- Redshirt sophomore Julia Coleman scored 14 points, sinking all six of her free throws, five assists and four rebounds.
- Seniors Crystal Ortiz and Amelia Strong each scored a dozen points apiece respectively off the bench.
