Baseball Prepares for Milwaukee

First pitch against the Panthers is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. (CT).

CHICAGO – The UIC baseball team (7-17-1, 3-3 MVC) is hosting Milwaukee (5-20, 2-4 Horizon) in an out of conference one-game midweek matchup at Curtis Granderson Stadium. The game was originally scheduled to be played in Milwaukee and was moved due to weather. Admission to the game will be free.

SCOUTING MILWAUKEE
  • This game will be the 161st meeting between the Flames and Panthers. UIC leads the all-time series 96-65.
  • Milwaukee is coming off a three-game series at home against Butler, going 1-2. In their most recent contest they lost 8-7.
  • Junior Dylan O'Connell leads the Panthers in home runs (five), runs scored (22) and stolen bases (12)

BELMONT RECAP
  • The Flames continued Missouri Valley Conference play with a series against Belmont this past weekend, going 1-2. The Flames won the final game 9-7.
  • In the Flames win, Alexander Wright and Sean Cody both drove in two runs a piece, with Cody hitting his first collegiate home run in the game.
  • In a 2-1 extra-innings loss, senior Brandon Bak pitched eight innings, striking out five and only surrendering one run.
