CHICAGO - The UIC women's tennis team won a pair of matches this weekend against conference foes to start Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) play 2-0. The Flames defeated Bradley 4-3 on Saturday before knocking off Illinois State 5-2 on Sunday.

Edit Cosmo was dominant this weekend, winning both of her singles matches in two sets. Cosmo also won a pivotal doubles match alongside Anais Brion against Illinois State as the Flames were able to sweep the doubles point. However, Charlotte Deletioglu had the biggest victory of the weekend. The Freshman was down 5-3 in the third set of her singles match, before winning five games in a row to clinch the match against Bradley.

The Flames are back in action on Friday as they travel to Indiana to take on Valparaiso.
