CHICAGO - The UIC women's tennis team returns to action for the first time since their massive victory over the Indiana Hoosiers when they match up against the DePaul Blue Demons (7-6) this Friday at 7:00 PM. The Flames then make the short trip to DeKalb to take on Northern Illinois (12-3) on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM.
The Flames are coming off one of the biggest victories in program history having beat Indiana 4-3 there last time out. The Flames will lean on reigning Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Singles Player of the Week Dongke Liu to continue her strong play into this weekend.
QUOTE FROM COACH LUMPKIN ROBINSON:
"I am really excited for us to take on two strong Illinois opponents this weekend. Our win against Indiana shows how the team has grown and embraced high level competition. This weekend will be an opportunity to handle different types of adversity and expand our adaptability."
