SCOUTING INDIANA STATE
- This series will be the 12th-14th meeting between the Flames and Sycamores. Indiana State leads the all-time series 9-2.
- Indiana State won its most recent game, beating Purdue 12-4 Tuesday night.
- Senior Emil Estrella leads the Sycamores in home runs (six), runs batted in (31) and stolen bases (five). Estrella's 31 RBI is good for second highest in the MVC.
- Sophomore Ty Brooks leads the Sycamores pitching staff in earned run average (2.00), wins (five), strikeouts (33) and innings pitched (45). Brooks ranks in the top five of the MVC for ERA and paces the league in wins.
MILWAUKEE RECAP
- The Flames earned a win against Milwaukee on Tuesday afternoon, winning 12-5, recording 13 hits with the pitching staff accumulating 10 strikeouts.
- Junior Thomas Curry recorded a team high four runs batted in with a home run, going four-for-five at the dish.
- Junior Ashton Kampa and junior Jake Busson also recorded home runs in the contest, with Busson's being an MVC leading 10th for the season.
- Graduate student Jared Lessman started the game for the Flames and pitched two innings, allowing no hits or runs and striking out five.
- Graduate student Jake Jakubowski was credited with the win, pitching one inning, without allowing a base runner and striking out one.
