CHICAGO – The midseason watch list for the 2026 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Wednesday morning. Among the 50 catchers that were named, UIC baseball's
Thomas Curry was recognized for his work on the diamond this season.
"He's a great student, he's a great defensive catcher, and he's done a great job for us offensively," head coach
Sean McDermott said. "He embodies what we want our players to be about here at UIC. When you talk about the 2026 Buster Posey Award.... I think he would be well deserving for the impact he continues to make on and off the diamond at UIC."
