VALPARAISO, Ind. – The UIC softball team (17-24-1, 6-14 MVC) will travel to Valparaiso (16-23, 4-12 MVC) for a key midweek Missouri Valley Conference doubleheader at the Valpo Softball Complex. The Flames and Beacons are separated by two games in the MVC standings. First pitch will take place at 12:30 p.m. (CT) on Tuesday.

NORTHERN IOWA RECAP
 
The Flames played a three-game series against conference opponent Northern Iowa this past weekend, dropping all three games. The Flames scored 28 runs in the series. Grace Taylor drove in the most runs for the Flames, plating seven. Sam Tourtillot hit two home runs during the three game set, driving in five.
