CHICAGO – The UIC softball team (19-27-1, 8-14 MVC) will have a critical series for Missouri Valley Conference standings as they welcome Evansville (20-22, 11-10 MVC) to Flames Field for a weekend series. The Flames trail the Purple Aces by three games for sixth place in The Valley, with only the top-six teams making the conference tournament. This series will be the Flames third, fourth and fifth games in a five day stretch this week. First pitch of Friday's doubleheader will take place at 4:00 p.m. (CT), with the game available to be streamed on
ESPN+.
Prior to first pitch on Friday, the Flames will honor

EASTERN ILLINOIS RECAP
The Flames played out of conference opponent Eastern Illinois on Wednesday, losing 6-3.
Sam Tourtillott drove in two runs to lead the Flames offense.
Siena Stickney went two-for-four at the plate and drove in the Flames only other run. Stickney extended her hit streak to 20 games with her performance.
