Softball Heads to Notre Dame

First pitch against the Fighting Irish is scheduled for 4 p.m. (CT).

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The UIC softball team (21-28-1, 10-15 MVC) will head to South Bend, Ind. to take on Notre Dame (23-27, 11-13 ACC) in its final out of conference midweek game of the season. This will be the Flames fourth game against a power conference opponent. First pitch at Melissa Cook Stadium is scheduled for 4 p.m. (CT), with the game available to stream on ESPN+.

EVANSVILLE RECAP
 
In a critical series for MVC standings, the Flames faced off against Evansville, earning a series win going 2-1 for the weekend. UIC won the first game 8-6, lost the second game 16-0 and won the rubber match 7-4. Over the series Ari O'Connell drove in a team-high five runs at the plate while Jasmine Whorley picked up two wins in the circle pitching 14 innings.
