EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Riding a seven game conference win streak, the UIC baseball team (18-23-1, 10-5 MVC) will travel to Evansville, Ind. for a weekend series against Evansville (16-26, 9-6 MVC) at German American Bank Field at Charles H. Braun Stadium. The Flames and Purple Aces are separated by just one game in the MVC standings, with the Flames being in a three-way tie for first. The three game set is set to begin Friday, with first pitch scheduled for 6:00 p.m. (CT). The games Saturday and Sunday will be streamed on

SCOUTING EVANSVILLE
- This series will be the 30th-32nd meeting between the Flames and Purple Aces. Evansville leads the all-time series 24-5.
- Evansville lost its most recent game against SIUE 6-4 on Tuesday evening.
- Freshman Spike Magill leads the Purple Aces in batting average (.282) and walks (31).
- Senior Max Hansmann leads the Purple Aces pitching staff in strikeouts (62), earned run average (3.61) and innings pitched (62.1). Hansmann's ERA places him fifth for MVC hurlers.
YOUNGSTOWN STATE RECAP
- The Flames swept Youngstown State in their last series, winning 10-7, 6-3 and 5-0.
- Jake Busson hit two home runs in the Flames 5-0 win, driving in three runs. Busson leads the MVC in long balls with 15 and is second in the conference for RBI with 46. Over the series Busson drove in seven runs and hit three home runs.
- James Hackett drove in four runs in the series, plating three in the 10-7 win and one in the 6-3 win.
- Kendall Lyons was credited with the win in the Flames 5-0 victory, pitching seven innings without allowing a run and striking out nine.
