CHICAGO – The UIC softball team (17-19-1, 6-9 MVC) will host Illinois State (20-12, 9-5 MVC) for a Missouri Valley Conference doubleheader at Flames Field on Wednesday. First pitch will take place at 3:00 p.m. CT.

MURRAY STATE RECAP
 
The Flames played a three-game series against conference opponent Murray State, going 1-2. UIC dropped the first game, won the second before losing the rubber match. In the win, the Flames won 6-4, with five Flames collecting RBI. Ari O'Connell led the way for Flames batters, going three-for-three at the plate with one run driven in. Jasmine Whorley earned the win going 4.2 innings while striking out three and allowing zero earned runs.
