CHICAGO – In their 2026 home opener, the UIC women's soccer team welcomes the Eastern Illinois Panthers to Flames Field for a non-conference match. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. CT, with a pregame banner ceremony celebrating the Flames' historic 2025 season taking place minutes before.

HISTORY vs EASTERN ILLINOIS
Sunday's contest marks the second all-time meeting between the Flames and the Panthers. The two sides last met in August. 28, 2022, in Chicago, where they fought to a nil-nil draw. UIC outshot Eastern Illinois 18-4 in the match, with eight shots on goal versus three.

LAST TIME OUT
The Flames dropped their season opener on the road against Ohio on Wednesday, falling to the Bobcats 2-1. 

Gracie Lisota collected the Flames' first goal of the season, as well as her first collegiate goal, with a deep shot in the 33^rd minute to give the Flames the lead. The Bobcats responded in the 39^th and 81^st minutes. 

The Panthers come into the match after securing a 2-0 win on Thursday against Valparaiso in their season opener. Eastern Illinois went on top in the 4^th minute from an own goal, before extending their lead in the 88^th with a goal by Amelia Mundo off an Abby Reinl assist.
