CHICAGO – The UIC women's soccer team will welcome the Illinois State Redbirds for its second conference game of the season, and its first at home, on Sunday. Kickoff between the Flames (1-6-2, 0-1 MVC) and the Redbirds (6-1-3, 1-0 MVC) is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. CT.
A livestream will be available on ESPN+, while live stats will be available on UICFlames.com.
Fans attending the match will receive a UIC women's soccer shirsey as supplies last.

HISTORY vs ILLINOIS STATE
Sunday's matchup will be the ninth meeting all-time between the Flames and Redbirds, with UIC holding a 4-2-2 edge in the series. The Flames are currently riding a six-game unbeaten streak against the Redbirds.
The last meeting between the two schools happened in the Missouri Valley Conference Championship Game last season on Nov. 9th, 2025. The match was scoreless through regulation and overtime, and was decided by penalty kicks, where the Flames came away victorious 2-1.
The win marked the Flames' first MVC title in women's soccer and first NCAA Tournament appearance. The Flames and Redbirds played early in the 2025 season as well on Oct. 19, with that game ending in a 0-0 draw.
LAST TIME OUT
The Flames dropped their conference opening match 2-5 against Belmont, with the Bruins scoring the first four goals of the game. Elyse DeSchryver and Tenley McMenamy scored goals for the Flames, the first of the season for each.
UIC placed 6-of-10 shots on goal.
Illinois State will enter the weekend on a four-game win streak and earned a 1-0 win over Murray State (1-7-2, 0-1-0 MVC) its last time out. Senior Erika Wells scored the lone goal for the Redbirds in the 74th minute and Graduate Student Goalkeeper Madi Valenti recorded five saves.
The Redbirds placed 7-of-14 shots on goal.
