Title IX

Under the direction of the Office of the Chancellor, the Office for Access and Equity (OAE), is responsible for assuring campus compliance in matters related to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. OAE also oversees the investigations of alleged violations of the Sexual Misconduct Policy and alleged complaints of sexual misconduct against UIC faculty, students and staff; and provides Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) confidential consultation, facilitation, and mediation services to all members of the UIC community. 

Sexual Misconduct Training & Prevention

The University’s Prohibition of Sex Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Misconduct policy requires all incoming, returning, and transfer students, as well as all employees, to complete annual educational programs on discrimination and harassment prevention, sexual violence, and reporting options and obligations. UIC’s comprehensive network of services for survivors provide information and services, options for reporting, advocacy, and support.
