Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago's Jacki Farr was named Midwestern Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week it was announced earlier today.

The junior was victorious in both the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles match on Saturday versus Indiana State, in which the Flames won 6-3, taking her singles contest 7-6, 6-3, while teaming with Nicole Derouin for an 8-4 doubles triumph.

This is the second time this month Farr has earned the award as she also was named player of the week back on March 1.

The Flames, currently 5-11 on the season, begin defense of their MCC crown this weekend as they go on the road for a pair of league matches. UIC takes on UW-Milwaukee on Friday afternoon, before travelling to Green Bay, Wis., on Saturday to meet the Phoenix.
