Chicago, Ill. - The 2003 UIC cross country season gets underway on Saturday morning as the Flames host the 7th Annual UIC Home Opener at Horsetail Lake in Palos Park, Ill.

The women's 2-mile race will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the men's 4-mile race following at 10:30 a.m.

The Flames welcome a strong field to this year's event, including Horizon League rivals Loyola and UW-Milwaukee, as well as DePaul, Chicago State and St. Francis.

The UIC women's team returns a talented group, anchored by All-Horizon League First Team honoree senior Jenni Goebel. The men's team, meanwhile, will be paced by Mikhail Davidyan and Tristan Roche.
