SAAC Minutes

Sept. 1, 2004

  • Introductions of Liasons, Faculty Advisor and Student Athletes.

  • Ordering of Red and White Hoodies with UIC on front and SAAC down left arm

  • Pass List is now $50.00 for all games for family, 4 tickets each

  • Midnight Madness, Friday October 15th. At 7:00 pm the Women's Volleyball will take on Butler at FAC, then after that there will be Domino's Free Pizza at the Pavillion before the Women's and Men's Basketball play.

  • Fire sale is September 24th in the equipment room.

  • Mission and purpose
    1) Community Services (Smyth School, Blood Drives, Chris Zorich, Halloween Candy, and Christmas at the Hospital)
    2) Represent the Athletes (2 from each team) (What happens in these meetings please make sure your teammates and coaches are aware of decisions and plans)
    3) Bridge to Administration

  • Stay in Bounds
    1) Adopted school for the year
    2) Pre-K through 8th graders
    3) Working with them throughout the year with events

  • 20 Hour Rule
    1) 1 day off a week
    2) 20 hours total
    3) No more than 4 hours a day

  • New Business
    1) Blood Drive - September 8th and 9th from 10am-3pm in PEB Room 190 2) Cookout on September 26th

  • Brother Sister Teams

  • Next meeting is at 7:00pm on October 6th
