Chicago, Ill. -UIC is set to host the 2005 Horizon League Volleyball Championship Thursday, November 17 thru Sunday, November 20th at the Flames Athletic Center.

Tournament action kicks off at 5 pm when No. 5 UW-Green Bay battles No. 8 Youngstown State on Thursday, November 17th.

Matches will be played on Thursday and Friday at 5:00 and 7:30 pm. The semifinals on Saturday are set for 2:00 and 4:30 pm and the championship match is Sunday at 1:00 pm.

The UIC volleyball team (12-18, 8-6) finished regular-season action with its most successful league record since 1994.

The Flames earned a No. 3 seed going into tournament play, which allowed UIC to earn a first-round bye.

The Flames will play the winner of Thursday's match between No. 6 Butler and No. 7 Wright State on Friday at 7:30 pm.
