Chicago, Ill.- Sophomore goalkeeper Jeff Engelbrecht (Peoria, Ill./Notre Dame H.S.) was named Player of the Week by ChicagoLandSoccerNews.com on Wednesday afternoon.

Following his shutout of Eastern Illinois this past Sunday, which gave him three clean sheets in four matches this season, Engelbrecht found his name all over the NCAA Division I individual statistical rankings. The UIC keeper is now third in the nation in save percentage (.950) and fifth in goals agasint average with a 0.237 GAA.

Engelbrecht joins Indiana's Brian Plotkin and Jacob Peterson as Players of the Week selected by ChicagoLandSoccerNews.com this season.

Engelbrecht and the Flames face Loyola at Flames Field this Friday beginning at 4:30 p.m. Central.
