Naples, Fla.- The UIC men's tennis team could not overcome a strong Florida Gulf Coast squad as the Flames fell 7-2 on Saturday night.
UIC (3-6) received a No. 3 singles win from Paul Glendenning, who defeated Gavin Manders by a 6-2, 6-1 count.
Enrico Kasjan and Adriano Liccardo teamed up for a doubles win over Manders and Brad Henderson, winning the match by an 8-2 tally.
Both Ivan Kovalev and Danai Samuriwo took their singles contests to three sets but were just short of picking up victories.
UIC resumes its spring trip to Florida on Tuesday with a match against North Florida.
