Chicago, Ill. - UIC heads to Eastern Illinois on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. to tangle with the Panthers before heading into Horizon League play this weekend at the Flames Athletic Center. Coming off a 1-2 showing in the UIC Invitational, the Flames are looking to pick up their sixth non-conference victory against the Panthers.

Recording 31 kills, eight blocks and a .311 attack percentage in the UIC Invitational last weekend, freshman Lana Lobdell was named to the all-tournament team. Lobdell posted a career-high .345 attack percentage in a 3-1 win over Western Illinois on Sept. 15 and notched 13 kills against North Texas on Sept. 16.

Overall, senior Ambria Springer leads the Flames with 195 kills, averaging 3.48 per game. Defensively, senior Julie Popp paces UIC with 221 digs and Springer guides the Flames at the net with 65 blocks. Setter Katie Kozak owns a team-high 21 service aces, a .227 attack percentage and 604 assists.

Eastern Illinois enters Tuesday's matchup against the Flames 5-5 overall and are coming off of four straight losses. Western Illinois dropped EIU, 3-1, before the Panthers fell to Northwestern, Arizona and Pittsburgh in the Wildcat Classic last weekend. In Eastern's final match against Pittsburgh, the Panthers took Pitt to five games, but fell short.

On the season, Eliza Zwettler guides Eastern on offense with 116 kills, while Kera Griffin powers the Panthers at the net with 27 blocks. Recording 142 digs, Shaina Boylan averages a team-high 4.06 per games.

Following UIC's showdown against Eastern Illinois, the Flames tackle their Horizon League schedule. In the opening weekend of conference play, UIC hosts Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 22 at the Flames Athletic Center, followed by a matchup against Wright State on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 4:00 p.m.
