UIC Volleyball Match Notes 
Chicago, Ill. - The UIC volleyball team hosts Cleveland State and Youngstown State in Horizon League action at the Flames Athletic Center this weekend.
The Flames (8-12, 2-6) face Cleveland State on Friday night at 7 p.m. UIC returns to FAC on Saturday afternoon for a 2 p.m. matchup against Youngstown State.
UIC downed both squads in five sets each at home last season.
The Flames are coming off a three-set home victory over Bradley on Tuesday night. UIC totaled 20 blocks, averaging 6.6 per set.
Katerina Hanackova has tallied a team-best seven double-doubles this season. Epiphany Davis ranks eighth in the league with 0.94 blocks per set.
Cleveland State (4-13, 3-5) is coming off a four-set loss to Milwaukee on Oct. 12. CSU's Beth Greulich ranks fourth in the league with a .283 hitting percentage.
Youngstown State (9-10, 2-6) suffered a 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh on Tuesday night in Pennsylvania. Ruth Boscaljon leads the league in attack percentage (.333) and blocks (1.22).
UIC steps out of league play next week when they travel to Macomb, Ill. for a matchup against Western Illinois on Oct. 21.
