CHICAGO - Coming off the heels of a dominating victory over DePaul, the UIC volleyball team looks to continue their three-match winning streak this weekend, beginning with Wright State this evening.
The Flames (13-13, 6-5 Horizon League) take on Wright State (10-16, 2-9 Horizon League) at the home in the Flames Athletic Center (FAC) at 7 p.m.
Wright State enters Friday night's game after a 3-0 loss to Cincinnati on Tuesday. The Flames will look to keep the Raiders at bay as Wright State is on a five-match losing skid.
Casie Sullivan leads all Flames with 297 kills on the season, while senior Lana Lobdell leads the squad with a team-best .313 attack percentage. Jessica Dalke has accrued 992 of the teams 1138 assists, and has 33 service aces thus far as a junior.
In their last meeting, UIC beat Wright State on Oct. 3 earlier this season in a 3-1 (25-27, 25-16, 25-19, 27-25) Flames victory.
Friday night will also serve as a Save Second Base night where fans are able to receive information and make donations towards breast cancer research.
For those unable to make the trek to the Flames Athletic Center, tonight's contest against the Raiders will be streamed online live with Assistant Athletic Director Shawn Sullivan calling all the action on the Horizon League Network.
