LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The UIC women's tennis team defeated New Mexico State 4-3 at the NM State Tennis Center on Saturday morning, extending their winning streak to six straight matches
The Flames took four of the six singles points, after losing the doubles point to the Aggies, despite a 8-0 win by the pair of Amy Jellish and Jenna Reisch.
Jellish was also victorious in singles play, winning her match in two sets against Ginet Pinero.
Mariya Kovaleva defeated Manon Sylvian in two straight sets, winning set one 6-3 and taking set two with the same score.
Elena Antakova notched a point for UIC, defeating Natalia Salum in two sets. Antakova gave up just two points in her match win.
The Flames travel back to El Paso, Texas to take on Wyoming on Sunday March 7 at 9 a.m. to close out the UTEP Quad.
