CHICAGO- The UIC volleyball team's 2010 recruiting class garnered Honorable Mention status in PrepVolleyball.com's look at the top college recruiting classes entering the fall.

The Flames were the only Horizon League team honored by PrepVolleyball.com for their 2010 recruiting class.

Heading the class are fall signees MaryKate Imrie (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg H.S.) and Maggie Strus (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg H.S.).

Imrie, a PrepVolleyball.com All-American who played for 1st Alliance, is a setter and Strus, a star with Celtic Force, is an outside hitter.

Also joining the Flames this fall will be defensive specialist Justine Garcia (Chicago, Ill./Brooks H.S./Powerhouse Volleyball Club), setter/defensive specialist Rita Wittaman (Riverside, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield H.S./Ignite Volleyball Club), and libero Sarah Mlachnik (Muskego, Wis./Muskego H.S./River City Volleyball Club).
