Final Results 
CHICAGO - The UIC women's tennis team (1-3) came away with its first win of the season on Friday as it bested Saint Louis (4-2), 4-3, at XS Tennis. The Flames were able to secure the doubles point and produce three singles victories for the win.
UIC adjusted its doubles pairings for the first time this season. Juniors Jackie Altansarnai and Ann-Sophie Hahn garnered a 6-4 win at No. 3 against Taylor Monken and Maria Toro Moreno for the first win. Freshmen Bianca Zuzu and Melika LeBlanc then transitioned to the No. 2 position and defeated Kelsey King and Natalia Yacaman, 7-6 (1), to collect the first point of the day.
Senior Keti Mebuke and sophomore Oana Manole combined at No. 1, but fell to Aspen Cervin and Madison Cook, 6-4.
Altansarnai, Hahn and LeBlanc were able to head into singles and push their way to victory. Altansarnai went to three sets before taking down King, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, at No. 2. Hahn won her first match of the season at No. 4 against Cook, 7-6 (4), 6-4, and LeBlanc evened her record at No. 6 with a 6-2, 6-0 victory against Brooke Urzendowski.
Mebuke battled with Cervin at No. 1, but dropped a 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 contest. Manole suffered a straight-set 6-2, 6-2 loss at No. 3 to Yacaman and Zuzu went down at No. 5 to Toro Moreno, 6-3, 6-1.
The Flames are back at XS Tennis on Sunday as they meet with Xavier at 11 a.m. CT. The match will mark the first meeting between the two teams since 2006.
