CHICAGO - The UIC swimming and diving programs outswam Cleveland State Friday en route to victories in both the men's and women's competition. The men outscored the Vikings, 180-120 while the women won by a score of 173-116. Friday was also Senior Night at the Flames Natatorium.

"Tonight was about our seniors," said head coach Tim Loeffler. "They have led this team all year and because of their leadership this program is going in the right direction."

Prior to the meet, the Flames honored their seniors. The seniors included: Kirsten Hutchinson, Anne Jacobsen, Whitney Johnson, Ksenia Kopylova, Andrea Longlade, Kelsey Millin, Sara Pardue, Vince Errichiello, Connor Howard, John Mordach, Sebastian Ostrowski, and Woody Lord.

For the men, Mike Reed earned two victories in the 50 free (20.70) and 100 free (46.79). Mordach, in his final home meet, led the Flames to victory in the 100 breast (58.74). Teammates Brayden Amendola and Shaun Seuschek finished second and third, respectively.

On the diving boards, the men finished one-two-three in the three-meter competition as Connor Howard captured first (312.38) followed by Tyler Pastore (272.70) and Mark Cieslielski (255.60).

The women were paced by a quartet of swimmers who each secured a pair of victories. Brianna Hines touched first in the 1000 free (10:32.54) and 500 free (5:08.53) while Sophia Shalabi locked up the 100 breast (1:05.94) and 200 breast (2:25.78).
