Later in the frame, redshirt junior Conor Philbin and Lee posted back-to-back RBI-singles.
Oakland pushed across its first two runs of the game in the bottom of the fourth stanza, but UIC answered with a pair of scores in the fifth. The Golden Grizzlies were not finished as they went on to score nine runs in the fifth and sixth innings to tie the count at 11-11.
