HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The UIC golf team wrapped up its season Tuesday at the Horizon League Championship at Las Colinas with a team score of 333 (989 for the three day total).
Behind five straight pars from junior
Bailey Bostler to end the third day of competition, the Flames held on to seventh place. Bostler finished the round with an 80 to pace UIC.
"We did not finish the way we wanted to after our start to the championship," said Coach
Mat Blair. "However, I am proud of the improvements we have made in a short amount of time. We just need to get comfortable playing well."
Joining Bostler (80-78-80) in the individual top 30 finish were
Meghan Kramp (78-82-83) and
Courteney Fabbri (82-82-84).
The young Flames look ahead to the Fall season with all five tourney competitors eligible to return, losing only
Shannon Menard to graduation.
