BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The UIC women's golf team moved up one spot into 6th place as they completed the final round of the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Creek Golf Course in Bowling Green, Ohio on Sunday.
Individually, Junior
Bailey Bostler shot an 83 amid sustained winds, and finished in a tie for eighth place. Sophomore
Kelly Sterling followed her 81 on the first day with an 83 Sunday, good for 27
th place among the 60 competitors.
"The winds were blowing between 18 and 25 miles per hour, which really affected the putting and short games," said UIC head Ccach
Mat Blair. "The fact that we added 16 strokes from the day before, yet improved one spot in the team standings shows how difficult the conditions were for everyone."
The Flames next action is at the Horizon League Championship beginning April 23 at Mission Inn Resort in Howie-in-the-Hills, Florida.
