CHICAGO – UIC (2-11-0) will make the short trip over to Indiana on Wednesday for a tilt with former Horizon League foe Valparaiso (3-6-1) at 7:30 p.m. CT at Brown Field.

LAST TIME OUT
UIC has suffered back-to-back shutout losses with its most recent coming in overtime at the hands of Cleveland State (Sept. 29), 1-0. It was just the second overtime match of the season for the Flames as they were held to their second-lowest shot total of the year with three attempts taken by
Emily Kavanaugh,
Rebeca Pallo and
Jennifer Saviski.
Haley Leanna went the length of the match in goal and made three saves as the Vikings acquired 10 shots.

SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
Valpo has mirrored the Flames in its last two games as it fell to Drake and Evansville in a pair of 1-0 decisions. Its three wins on the year came against Green Bay, 2-1, Robert Morris, 4-2, and IUPUI, 2-1, while its lone shutout was in a 0-0 draw with Eastern Illinois.

The Crusaders have turned out 136 shots this season and put nearly half on goal with 66. Far outnumbering the rest, Cory Griffith stands out with 43 shots and 19 on goal. Sydney Griffin has the next highest total with 19 and seven, respectively. Of all the attempts, nine have been converted for goals with Griffith owning six and Ava Portier tabbing two in addition to an own goal.

The last four matches in goal have been controlled by Kezia Gesell, who has made 19 saves this season with seven goals allowed in 548 minutes for a 1.15 GAA. Drew Moulton has also played significant minutes (365) and made 14 saves with six goals allowed for a 1.48 GAA.
