CHICAGO – The Flames (2-11-1, 1-3-0 HL) will bring a three-match road stint to a close Saturday when it resumes Horizon League action at Wright State (3-6-2, 2-1-1 HL). Action gets underway at 2 p.m. CT at Alumni Field in Dayton, Ohio.

LAST TIME OUT
UIC capped non-conference play Wednesday (Oct. 3) in a bout with Valparaiso. The teams played 110 minutes before a 0-0 (2OT) draw was called. It was the first tie for the Flames since 2016 while they collected their third shutout of the season. Nine shots were taken by UIC with three on goal while the Crusaders attempted 17 and forced goalkeepers
Haley Leanna, who played the first 45, and
Tara Khayam to make six saves.

SEASON STAT LINE
Of the Flames' 131 shots this season, which ranks fourth in the Horizon League, 58 have been put on goal. A total of 37, with 19 on goal, have come against conference opponents after four games.
Emily Kavanaugh (26) and
Rebeca Pallo (23) lead the team overall with their combined 26 SOG, while they also make up 22 of the League attempts with 15 on goal.

The offense has been limited to 10 goals on the year while three have been scored in Horizon League matches. Kavanaugh has the team's top mark of three followed by
Tamae Douglas with two, as they are also responsible for the conference tallies.

Leanna has started the last eight matches and racked up 723 minutes in goal. With two complete game shutouts and one clean sheet to her name, she has produced 45 saves, 22 against conference foes, and allowed 12 goals, six HL, for a 1.49 goals-against average.

Khayam made her first appearance since Sept. 2 and played the final 75 minutes against Valpo. She has played 562 minutes this season with 36 saves but has yet to face a League opponent.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Wright State has gone 0-1-1 in its last two match against Northern Kentucky and Milwaukee after it went on a three game win streak with victories over St. Bonaventure, 2-1 (OT), Oakland, 1-0, and Green Bay, 2-1 (OT).

The Raiders have attempted 101 shots this season and put 46 on goal while 37 of the overall looks have come in conference matches with 18 on goal. Sixteen players have made up the total while Aaliyah Patten stands out with 35 shots, 13 in conference, and 12 shots on goal. She is also responsible for two of WSU's nine goals, five of which have been scored against Horizon League opponents, with Destiny Johnson notching two of her own. When Patten is not taking her own attempts, she is adding assists as she has three this season.

Maddie Jewell has played all but 27 minutes in goal for the Raiders. She has collected two shutouts and 44 saves in 1,107 minutes with 22 goals allowed for a 1.95 GAA. In conference play, she has made 15 saves and allowed four goals for a 1.01 GAA.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Raiders are the team responsible for knocking the Flames out of the Horizon League Tournament last season with a 2-1 win in the quarterfinals, after it took a 1-0 win in the regular season. UIC is 1-4-0 all-time against WSU as the last four meetings have been decided by one goal. The lone win for the Flames came in 2016 with a 1-0 victory on the road.
