EVANSTON, Ill. – The UIC women's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Wildcat Invite, hosted by Northwestern, on Sunday.

The Flames faced several big name opponents from DePaul, Chicago State, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Columbia, Princeton, Utah, Illinois, Lewis, Marquette and Pitt.

Freshman Nell Arendt highlighted in singles for the Flames with a win over Columbia's Yekaterina Alferova, 6-2, 6-1.

Newcomers Karyna Bihel and Lucie Prochazkova took a 6-4 win versus Utah's Whitney Turley and Leah Heimuli to highlight doubles.

The Flames will be at home to face the University of Illinois Springfield on Friday, Oct. 12 at noon CT.
