CHICAGO – The UIC women's basketball team (3-13, 1-11 HL) will tie a bow on the regular season slate this weekend as it hosts Horizon League top-contender Milwaukee (16-6, 13-5 HL) on Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20. Both games are set to tipoff at 2 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
The Flames will also be honoring seniors
Jada Nneji and
Jealissa Presswood with a virtual Senior Day ceremony following Saturday's contest. Fans are encouraged to watch the Senior Day ceremony live stream on YouTube (link in blue box above).
WITH A WIN, UIC WOULD:

LAST TIME OUT
- UIC made its final road trip of the regular season last weekend, traveling to Green Bay to take on the Phoenix.
- In Friday's (Feb. 12) series opener, the Flames shot 51.7 percent overall and 53.8 percent from three in the first half to outscore Green Bay (12-6, 11-4 HL), 37-35, but it wouldn't hold up, as the Phoenix cranked up the defense in the second half, holding UIC to just 19 points in the final two periods while putting up 45 second-half points of their own to outlast the Flames, 80-56.
- The Flames ended the day with eight threes, seven of which fell in the first half, but the Phoenix poured in 12 shots from beyond the arc, a new opponent season-best, to take down the Flames in the first of the two-game set.
- On Saturday (Feb. 13), UIC finished out its regular season road slate with a 70-45 loss in Green Bay.
- Freshman Lindsey Rogers put away a career-high five threes on Saturday, making her the first Flame to sink five or more treys since Nov. 7, 2018.
- Senior Jada Nneji took over as UIC's all-time leader in blocks in the contest, tying the record with her first stop of the day and breaking the record with her second. Nneji finished the day matching her season high with four blocks in the game to push her career total, and the new UIC record, to 167.

- Nneji matched her season high of four blocks in both games against the Phoenix, bringing her new career total, and the new UIC record, up to 167 blocks.
- Nneji currently leads the Flames and ranks third in the Horizon League with an average of 1.4 blocks per game.
- The senior leads the squad in offensive rebounds, pulling down an average of 2.4 offensive boards per game. Overall, Nneji averages 4.6 rebounds per game to rank 25th in the League.
- Nneji's 58 blocks in the 2019-20 season were fourth-most in single-season history. She also owns the second-highest single season block total (70), which she set as a sophomore in 2018-19.
- The Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada native took home Horizon League All-Defensive Team honors last season for the second-straight year.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
- Milwaukee stands as the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Horizon League Women's Basketball Championships, owning a 16-6 record on the season overall and a 13-5 record in Horizon League games.
- The Panthers split their last series with Oakland, falling 83-82 in overtime on Friday (Feb. 12) before holding on to a 69-66 win in the finale on Saturday (Feb. 13).
- Megan Walstad leads Milwaukee's offense with an average of 13.0 points per game, while teammate Brandi Bisping also averages in double digits, averaging 10.7 points per game.
- Walstad also leads the team in rebounds, averaging 9.1 per game to rank second in the conference.
- McKaela Schmelzer hands out the most assists, averaging 3.3 helpers per game.
- The Panthers own a 39-21 advantage all-time against the Flames, winning the last 10 meetings between the two teams.
