Please Note: Spectators are not allowed at UIC home meets.

UIC will host Oakland in its first home meet of the season Friday evening.

The Flames are coming off men's and women's wins over Cleveland State.  They will be competing in the familiar waters of Flames Natatorium for the first time since last January 25.  The meet is the second to last regular season matchup, and the third in 13 days.

"The schedule is very compressed this year, so we're looking to finish this first part of it strong against the conference champions," Tim Loeffler said.  "After Friday we'll have some time to train for almost a solid month until conference with only one more dual meet in between."

Flames to Watch
  • Jan Komorowski won two events in each of the first two meets.
  • Lizzie Zeller won two races against Cleveland State.
  • Lilly Culp won both butterfly events last week.
  • Jacob Cunningham was a very close second to Komorowski in the 200 free, and won the 100 free.
  • Poleena Kovalaske and Taira Juronis both won multiple events against the Vikings.
Scouting Oakland
  • Oakland has won every dual meet of their season, including convincing wins over Cleveland State in their lone Horizon League swim.
  • Susan LaGrand and Marko Khotynetskyi are the conference Swimmers of the Week.
  • The Golden Grizzlies are the defending six-time conference men's and women's champions.
