CHICAGO – The UIC women's tennis team (15-5, 7-1 HL) will be back in action this weekend as they host Oakland (2-16, 2-8 HL) in a pair of matches to close out the regular season. The Flames, who are currently in first place, have the opportunity to clinch their fourth-straight regular season title, as they host the Golden Grizzlies on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25. Saturday's match is set to begin at 1 p.m. CT at XS Tennis, while Sunday's match will begin at 10 a.m. at the Flames Outdoor Tennis Courts.

Head coach
Shannon Tully is approaching a coaching milestone, as she is just two wins away from 300 career wins, all of which have come at UIC. The 11-time Horizon League Coach of the Year has led the Flames to 13 conference championships and 13 NCAA Tournament appearances during her tenure.
The Flames last saw action on April 10-11, when they completed a two-match sweep over Milwaukee, defeating the Panthers 5-2 on Saturday (April 10) and 6-1 on Sunday (April 11).
UIC owns an 85-34 record against its opponents so far this season in singles matches, led by a 15-3 record from junior
Ana Jover. Gulin follows closely with a 14-3 record, while Prochazkova and junior
Nell Arendt own identical 12-2 records in singles action so far.
In doubles, the Flames are 34-15 against their opponents, and Jover once again leads the way, boasting a 14-3 record when playing as part of a pair. Gustafsson owns a 12-6 record so far in doubles, while Malazonia is 11-6.
Oakland is looking to snap an eight-match losing streak, most recently dropping a pair of matches to Milwaukee. The Flames are 5-1 all-time against Oakland with a perfect 3-0 record at home. UIC won the last meeting between the two teams on March 24, 2019, 6-1.
