Strong doubles play highlighted UIC's first dual match of 2022, at Toledo Sunday. The Flames jumped out to an early lead with a pair of wins on the doubles courts, but the Rockets, who had the advantage of having played a match earlier in the weekend, proved to be stronger in singles and won the match, 5-2.
Ana Jover, who was last seen competing at ITA Super Regionals, improved her singles record to a team-best 7-3 with a win on the #3 court.
The Flames will return to action with a pair of matches next weekend at XS Tennis.

- Hrabalova fell by a 6-4, 6-2 count in the #4 flight.
- Toledo took the lead after defeating Arendt at #6, 6-4, 6-0.
- Forste-Dinell dropped a 6-4, 6-2 match on the #5 court.
- Jover pulled the Flames to within a point after her 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 win.
- The Rockets clinched the match on the #1 court, where Gustafsson went toe-to-toe before falling 6-4, 7-6 (3).
- Malazonia won the first set but was unable to pull out the match, 6-7 (5), 6-1, 6-4 at #2.
