UIC's three-match winning streak came to an end Friday at the hands of Pacific. The back-and-forth battle came down to the last singles match on the courts, as was the case in the Flames' two previous matches. This time, it was the visitors who claimed the decisive point in a third-set tiebreaker.
The Flames got back on the positive side of the ledger in doubles play, claiming the point after two straight defeats.
Ana Jover put the team up 2-0 with a quick singles win. Pacific's depth down the lineup registered key wins for them as they remained undefeated on the season.
