STANFORD, Calif. - UIC softball (2-8) fell to the Seattle Redhawks (7-2), 3-1 on Sunday morning. The Flames saw a strong outing on the bump from
Christina Toniolo, who pitched all eight innings, allowed five hits and no earned runs. The Flames will be back in action on March 4, in Tampa, Fla., in the South Florida Tournament. UIC will face Army and South Florida on the opening day of the tournament.

Alannah Cran walk that turned into an offensive rally.
Emma Crowley followed up with a single to center that put runners on first and second base.
Isabelle Garcia laid down a sac bunt to advance the runners to second and third.
Hailey Cowing ripped a single through the left side to score Cran and put the Flames up early.
Seattle came back in the fourth inning, scoring one run to tie up the game. Both teams were tied heading into the final inning and went to the extra innings.
In the eighth inning, Seattle added two runs, which ultimately gave the Redhawks the victory in Sunday's game. Toniolo pitched a great game, pitching all eight innings, allowing five hits and three runs, all unearned.Â
The Flames will be in Tampa, Fla., next weekend March 4, for the South Florida Tournament.Â
