UIC wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule with an efficient 4-1 win over Butler Sunday morning.  Ana Jover returned to the singles lineup and contributed a win on the #3 court, as the Flames won in each of the top three flights after taking the doubles point as well.

The six-match Horizon League schedule will begin next weekend.

Doubles Results

• Jover and Agnes Gustafsson turned in a quick 6-1 win at #1.
• Marina Hermanny de Figueiredo and Lea Forste-Dinell were just as crisp, wrapping up the doubles point with a 6-1 win at #3.
• Dominka Hrabalova and Tamara Malazonia led their #2 set 5-3 when they were pulled off the court.

Singles Results

• Gustafsson was a straight-sets winner, 6-3, 6-4 at #1.
• Malazona had the most convincing singles win of any Flame, dispatching her opponent at #2, 6-1, 6-2.
• Jover remained undefeated in dual matches after a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 win at #3.
• Butler got their only point by virtue of a 6-2, 6-1 win over Hrabalova at #4.
• Hermany de Figueiredo was knotted up at 6-all in the first set on the #5 court when the team win was clinched.
• Forste-Dinell was also unable on complete her match, which she led 5-2.
