CHICAGO – A deep list of student-athletes are headed to Illinois State Saturday afternoon for the Redbird Invite.
 
The Flames are 1-of-15 teams competing in the meet hosted by the Redbirds and will be joined alongside fellow Horizon League school Milwaukee and future MVC foes Bradley, Illinois State and Valparaiso.
 
Action for the Flames will get started at approximately 12 p.m. when track events kick off with the men's and women's 100m prelims. Racing will continue throughout the day, wrapping up at approximately 5:20 with the running of the men's and women's 4x400 relays.
 
Saturday marks the second weekend of outdoor competition for the Flames, who split up to compete in a pair of meets last weekend. Carlos Cabrera highlighted the racing with a school record in the men's 5k at the Raleigh Relays.
 
Meanwhile, a group of Flames competed at the Billiken Invite last Saturday where a total of nine personal bests were set. Kaitlyn Rogers led the way with a pair of PRs in the women's 100m and 200m events.
