CHICAGO – Top performances from Carlos Cabrera,
Teresa Mejia, Sacrad Michelin and Baliey Moran highlighted the first day of competition at the Illini Invitational.

Cabrera led the pack with a fourth-place finish in the men's 5000m to cap the first day of action, crossing the line in a PR time of 14:39.86. Dathan Maton was also in action in the event, finishing 10
th overall (14:58.31).

In the women's 5000m,
Teresa Mejia improved upon her PR in the event, posting a time of 17:47.36 to finish sixth overall.

A pair of Flames finished 11
th overall in the 400m hurdles, with
Haley Dahl (1:07.98) and Will Stout (1:00.00) in action in the women's and men's races, respectively.

Sacrad Michelin finished in eighth place (21.55) while Max Rivera claimed 14
th (21.76) in the men's 200m, as the pair each set PRs in the event. In the women's 200m,
Bailey Moran claimed a PR with an eighth-place finish (25.13) while
Olivia Dumas followed suit with her 10
th-place effort (25.16).
