CHICAGO – The UIC women's golf team returns to action Sunday and Monday, hosting the annual Briar Ridge Invitational. The two-day event will take place at Briar Ridge Country Club in Schererville, Indiana on Sunday and Monday.
 
The field has nearly doubled since last year's event, with 12 programs in the field this season. UIC is 1-of-10 full programs in contention while two additional schools have individuals competing.
 
UIC enters the weekend on a high note after a stellar performance at the Golfweek Fall Challenge. As a result of their performance at the tournament, the Flames rose to #75 in the NCAA rankings, the highest ranking in program history.
 
At last year's event, Megan Tang finished runner-up on the individual leaderboard while UIC finished fourth on the team leaderboard.
