CHICAGO (Nov. 3, 2023) – UIC Athletics has unveiled its full promotional schedule for the 2023-24 women's basketball season. The Flames will play host to 13 regular-season games at Credit Union 1 Arena in their second season as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Second-year head coach
Ashleen Bracey and her team are off to a good start for their 2023-24 campaign, recently defeating crosstown rival Loyola 67-51 Monday. After taking down the Ramblers in its season opener, the UIC women's basketball team (1-0, 0-0 MVC) will play its second game of the regular season Thursday as the Flames will make the quick trip north to Evanston to take on Northwestern. Thursday's game against the Wildcats is set to tip-off at 7 p.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Fans can stream the action on B1G+ and live stats will be available on the Flames' website.
SEASON-LONG PROMOTIONS
- Hometown Hero: At every UIC game this season, one Hometown Hero will be honored for his/her service to the community. To nominate a Hometown Hero, fill out the form here.
- T-Shirt Toss: Cheer loud for a UIC Flames t-shirt! Courtesy of R.F. Whittmeyer, t-shirts will be tossed into the crowd by members of the UIC cheer and dance teams at each game!
- It's a Piece of Cake: When the Flames score 75 points, fans in attendance will receive a coupon for a free slice of cake from Portillo's.
SINGLE-GAME GIVEAWAYS
- Home Opener (Nov. 17 vs. Southeast Missouri): The first 500 student fans in attendance for UIC's home opener on Nov. 17 against Southeast Missouri will receive a free "Chicago's College Team" shirt. Tickets to this game can be purchased here.
- Dinner At CU1 (Jan. 12 vs. Northern Iowa): The first 500 students in attendance for the Flames' Missouri Valley Conference matchup against Northern Iowa on Jan. 12 (7 p.m. CT) will receive free pizza. Tickets to this game can be purchased here.
- Alzheimer's Awareness Game (Jan. 14 vs. Drake): The Flames' Jan. 14 home game against MVC foe Drake (1 p.m. CT) will honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease. This game will also serve as a reunion for both the Ashleen Bracey League and the Ashleen Bracey Summer Basketball Camp. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a back-of-the-phone wallet.

- Pride Night (Jan. 19 vs. Bradley): The first 1,000 fans in attendance at UIC's conference matchup against in-state rival Bradley (7 p.m. CT) will receive a mini Pride flag. The first 500 students in attendance will receive a free UIC Pride shirt.

- Play 4 Kay (Jan. 21 vs. Illinois State): UIC's Jan. 21 conference game against Illinois State (1 p.m. CT) will serve as the program's annual Play 4 Kay Game, recognizing those in the fight against breast cancer. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive UIC pom poms, while all UIC students in attendance will be entered to win custom UIC-painted Adidas sneakers. All groups in attendance will receive a discount and are eligible for $4 group tickets!

- National Girls and Women in Sports Day/Alumni Day/Sparky's Kids Club Game (Feb. 4 vs. Valparaiso): It will be a full day of fun at Credit Union 1 Arena, as the Flames welcome MVC rival Valparaiso for a 1 p.m. (CT) contest. UIC will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day and welcome back some very special Flames' alumnae. This will also be a Sparky's Kids Club Game, with members of Sparky's Kids Club receiving a code for a FREE ticket to the game! Make sure to sign up all young Flames' fans 13 years or younger here.

- Celebrate Black History Month with UIC (Feb. 22 vs. Murray State): The first 500 fans in attendance at the Flames' Feb. 22 game against Murray State (7 p.m. CT) will receive a UIC x Black History Celebration shirt. Tickets to this game can be purchased here.
- Celebrate Women's History Month and Senior Day with UIC (March 9 vs. Southern Illinois): The first 500 fans in attendance at UIC's regular-season finale on March 9 against Southern Illinois (1 p.m. CT) will receive a Navy Pier Blue rally towel.
